Biologist Investigated for Scientific Misconduct in Global Warming Debate

Global Warming is another “crisis” issue. Governments create crises in order to (1) control the people and (2) extract money from the people to enhance the portfolios of institutions of higher learning. What academic is going to take a stand against an “official” scientific position when his job is dependent on money coming from the government to defend the position? Then there’s the tenure issue and being castigated by his academic peers for upsetting the gravy train.

Global Warming has been a scam from the beginning. The latest heat wave in America’s midsection is being touted as evidence that “climate change” is real. (The climate changes every day all over the world. Change is a slippery word, as in “hope and change.” But I digress.) Have you noticed that all the reports about the heat wave were about the “heat index” and not the actual temperatures? In reality, there were no record temperatures. Yes, it’s been hot. So what’s new? There’s a big ball in space called the Sun that’s really hot.

Sometimes things get out of hand and a scientist goes too far that even the staunch advocates of a manufactured crisis get nervous. It seems that Charles Monnett, an Anchorage-based scientist with the U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement, is being put on leave for “integrity issues.” Monnett is the guy who insisted that Global Warming was killing polar bears. His duties included managing about $50 million worth of studies. You know the adage: “Follow the money.”

Internal purges are needed sometimes in order to save an agency from embarrassment and the possibility that grant money will be directed elsewhere.

Much of the debate over global warming is predicated on fear, rather than science. Global-warming alarmists see a future plagued by catastrophic flooding, war, terrorism, economic dislocation, droughts, crop failure, mosquito-borne disease and harsh weather – all caused by man-made greenhouse gas emissions.

Hans Blix, the UN weapons inspector, sounded ridiculous and alarmist when he said in March: "I'm more worried about global warming than I am of any major military conflict." No wonder the late political scientist Aaron Wildavsky called global warming the "mother of all environmental scares".

Global warming is real. If it wasn't real we would all be living in the ice age. It is nothing new as I am 60 years old and I remember studying about the ice age in the 6th grade. Global warming is a natural progression. Have we contributed to it? Sure. Can we stop it? No!!! I want to know what is life without prosperity and hope? I am not talking about Obama's hope. I am talking about all the companies that have had the EPA restrictions imposed on them that is forcing the company to spend more and more money on minute improvements to the environment. I just heard that farmers are now going to require to buy permit because of the dust the kick up in the process of farming. The coal fired and nuclear power plants have been slapped again and again with restrictions of their emissions and the discharge into their man made cooling ponds. When the electricity is too expensive for a person to run his air in the summer or his heat in the winter. What life will we have???? I am not saying that we don’t need the EPA but we need to stop it from destroying our way of life and destroying our economy.

WHO 'SGOING TO GET A PERMIT WHEN THE WIND BLOWS AND CREATES DUST HOW ABOUT THE DUST YOU MAKE WHEN WE DRIVE DOWN A DUSTY ROAD THIS IS ALL A BUNCH OF BS.
AS FAR AS THE POLAR BEARS LIKE ALL OTHER ANIMALS THEY WILL GO TO WHERE THE FOOD SUPPLY IS. THAT IS WHAT PEOPOLE DID BEFORE THERE WAS FARMING AS WE KNOW IT LIKE THE AMINALS PEOPLE WENT TO THE FOOD IS.

Anthropogenic global warming has been a fraud for money and power from the gitgo. Carbon combustion makes 80% of all our energy. The control and taxing of carbon would give the elected ruling class more money and power than anything since the signing of the Magna Carta of 1215, 796 years ago!

Every time I mention junk science to an environmentalist, I get called an an environmental skeptic. That is about the only thing they got right.

Let’s take the millions in grants, and investigate the de-population program of arsenal sprays of chemicals, bacteria, viruses, metals, vaccines, fungus, etc…. a deadly cocktail to take your immune system!! Do a story on chemtrails… The greatest crime to human beings!!! See testing done in Idaho…SHOCKING!!!

The more I read, the more I am sure that anthropogenic global warming is real.

Gore's global warming scam and Nobel prize for it is only outdone by Obama's Nobel prize for nothing, too. Just more evidence of the idiots in charge.

      Exactly! Right on!

  • R. Cook

No surprise here. He just joins others who do not base their rhetoric on true science.

Jonathan Schell is a perfect example of the mind-set of certain environmentalists and warm and fuzzy liberals. The imagined crises seem to be more important than the truth or any facts associated with a set of circumstances. In an article in Discover Magazine in 1987, he is quoted as making the following statement:

“We need to act on theory alone, which is to say on prediction alone. It follows that the reputation of scientific prediction needs to be enhanced. But that can happen, paradoxically, only if scientists disavow the certainty and precision that they normally insist on. Above all we need to learn to act decisively to forestall predicted perils, even while knowing that they may never materialize. We must take action, in a manner of speaking, to preserve our ignorance.”

    • R. Cook

Dr. Stephen Schneider (the anti-spray can guru) gives us another example of the dishonesty sometimes associated with rabid environmentalists posing as scientific experts. The following statement has been attributed to him:
“To capture the public imagination, we have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we may have. Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest.” (Interview for "Discover" magazine, Oct 1989)

We have had a lot of extra hot air since obama was elected by the idiots of this country.

In the following debate Lord Christopher Monckton says that we shouldn't be alarmed if the climate temperature rises 1 degree in a century. That has been a historical amount and to charge a carbon tax on such a thing is absurd to say the least and absolutely insane at worst.

Oh for God's sake……………there are fossil bed records in my state of Oregon that prove there were once palm trees here and a semitropical climate complete with saber toothed tigers. All this was centuries ago but if that was the climate, I'm sure it wasn't caused by the burning of fossil fuels………….there just weren't any SUVs running around under those wooly mammoths!! Neither were there any belching coal fired electric generation facilities.

Sometimes I wonder if any of these theorist ever paid attention back in Earth Science classes! Global warming is a natural occurrence and the event takes place every so many centuries, but we all know you can't tell that to these people. ;)

  • Bud Grounds

A noted scientist on the climate named Brennan dismissed global warming years ago and using core samples of the earth and records dating back to the earliest recorded
time. What he found is cycles run from anywhere to 7 to 20 years as I recall.

We more likely are looking at a cooling period in the coming years rather than an increase in global warming.

You might ask these so called professionals how much they made off the hoax that Al Gore created.
