Perry: ‘Global Warming a Phony Mess’

The climate sceptics can finally get excited about the 2012 election: Rick Perry, their candidate of choice, is about to officially throw his hat in the ring.

Perry calls global warming “all one contrived phony mess that is falling apart under its own weight.” Unlike many of the other GOP presidential candidates, he hasn’t expressed concern about climate change in the past, so he won’t have to do any back-pedaling. Notorious climate denier Marc Morano is a big fan: “Based on climate views alone, anyone who is holding their nose voting for Mitt Romney because there’s no other viable candidate will now rejoice to have an option with Rick Perry.”

The Texas governor will announce his intentions in the early primary state of South Carolina on Saturday, then head to New Hampshire andIowa to rub elbows with all of the other aspiring commanders-in-chief. As a social and fiscal conservative, governor of a state that’s been adding jobs (even if they’re low-wage), and owner of a full head of lustrous hair, Perry is expected to swagger to the front of the pack in the contest for the Republican nomination.

    AWAKENOW: AGREED. Trans Texas Corridor and Gardasil mandate should be RED FLAGS to all of America. You've gotta admit it's pretty darn difficult to get a candidate with the ethics, smarts AND the power. I doubt Americans can channel
    the power that is derived from global organizations, to the best interest of America. Heads up, America, don't fall for a handsome, well dressed, well presented individual who has the savvy to deliver a message convincingly. ACTIONS SCREAM LOUDER THAN WORDS. UNFORTUNATELY, ETHICS AND RIGHTNESS DO NOT TODAY CARRY POWER. WHAT EXACTLY DO WE AMERICANS STAND FOR? ARE WE WILLING TO LET A SLICKER SELL US THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE ALL THE WHILE SELLING OUT AMERICA TO FOREIGN POWERS? TURN FROM SOPHISTICATION IF IT DOES NOT GO HAND AND HAND WITH CHARACTER~! IT IS NOT BEING DIMWITTED OR GOODY TWO SHOES FOR AMERICA TO HOLD STRONG TO THE TRUE, RETURN THE POWER TO THE CONSTITUTION AND TO BASIC AMERICAN VALUES.     If Perry is our best bet at getting Obama out of office, then this nation is so screwed! We need a President that will tighten up the budget, reduce the power of unnecessary agencies and still manage to protect some of the most important things in this country, like our education system. Perry is not going to get that done. He’s a lame governor (I’m a Texan) who benefited from the fact that many big company’s had migrated to Texas before the recession hit with new jobs and good wages, so we had a cushion when the recession did hit. That was not Perry’s doing!

    And how can you vote for a man that does nothing but try to dumb down his constituents? The North Atlantic triangular trade? Glorify Confederate commanders? Take evolution out of the text books (although all facts say it exists) Global warmig doesn’t exist (although all facts say it does)? How do you expect our children to make intelligent decisions in the future to protect this nation of we cannot give them a proper education? Perry is an enemy of education!

    I pray God bring us a candidate that can actually do some good and flip our debt like Clinton did. He may have been a horn-dog, but at least he for some good results!

    I agree research and vet the candidates. obama was never vetted by the press, turned out to be totally incompetent socialist sock puppet for george soros. Many of us saw this coming as we did our own research. But with the main stream media and Hollywood totally in the tank for this fool. The results were very telling. Just look at footage of the DNC convention, the set looked like a Las Vegas Show, Beautifully designed, lights, color, and excitement, and with the anybody but Bush attitude, whisked a boob into the White House along with all his domestic terrorist cronies.     SO FAR I WOULD LEAN TOWARD PERRY…PLUS I THINK HE HAS THE BEST CHANCE TO BEAT ..YOU KNOW WHO …! I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO SEE A PERRY AND TRUMP TICKET, BUT PERRY AND PALIN WOULD BE A SECOND CHOICE!     I'm against illegal immigration in this country and so far I've heard that Perry has established safe havens in Texas for many illegals. As a Bilderberg group member I too wonder what his intentions are, and the fact that he was a Democrat and switch to Republican makes me feel like he's not to be trusted completely. Yes I know Reagan switched parties too but he did it for all the right reasons. Being against global warming is not enough for me to change my position about him. At least with Bachmann we know where she stand on illegal immigration and to me thats more important than any global warming hogwash.

    From what I’ve read regarding Perry, he’s not strong when it comes to illegals.. We will continue to have financial problems if we don’t get these illegals to leave our country.. This is a deal breaker for me…No to Perry and YES to Ron Paul….

    We aren't going to have much of a choice in who is nominated – I think it will be Perry or Romney. I don't think either is a conservative … but I'd take them any day over the Marxist in Charge

    I have to look into Perry but anyone but Obama…even my nine year old niece understands this country's principles and laws better. Personally I think the worst candidate so far is Romney…He's a snake oil salesman if you ask me. pro-choice one minute then pro- life the next…reminds me of Spector who was a republican his whole career, then became a democrate to save himself a job. I still think he had too many brain surgeries to even be in any type of important voting. As I'm writing I'm thinking maybe a non-polititian. I still do like Herman Cain a lot I hope these candidates save their money and not defame each other cause Obama is going to pull some ugly punches when it's down to two (or three if trump runs as an independent) They need every penny to pull up Obama's failings and show how they will be better.
