    Iran would not use a nuke on Israel even if it had one. Israel has hundreds of them, if Iran used one Israel would turn their entire country into a parking lot!

        First, Genesis 48:16 says clearly that Joseph's seed was given the name Israel, not Judah! However, Joseph's seed broke the "Sabbaths Covenant" that came with the name Israel and they(Joseph's seed, not Judah's) broke the name covenant and forgot their name!     I remember Ron Paul stating that the U.S.S.R. was a far larger threat to us than Iran is today. Did we start a war with the U.S.S.R. because they were developing and then developed nuclear power? No. Pres. Reagan stood his ground and stood them down and eventually that "Wall" came down because the U.S.S.R. bankrupted themselves with putting so much of their capital into military machine.

    What Pres. Reagan practiced was, "Speak softly, but carry a big stick."

    Because Iran threatens to build their nuclear capability does not mean that we threaten or start a war with them. We and other free world countries hold onto our nuclear capabilities and keep on improving all our military capabilities — and just as what happened with the U.S.S.R. they will fall on their own face when they waste their funds on military spending to the detriment of the lives of their own people who will turn on them because they have been starved out of funds, jobs and food.

    Israel is a wealthy nation and has the capability of purchasing as much weaponry as they need from us and other allies. They do not need the U.S.'s or the U.N.'s permission to defend themselves against Iran, Iraq, Libya or any other country – including nuclear defense if they deem it necessary.

    The United States should not be the policeman of the world – nor should we be stationed in Germany, Italy, France, Japan, S. Korea and all the other nations throughout the world. Let all of those nations expend their capital and their military to defend their own countries and quit using our troops as free fodder for all the other nation states.

    We are the largest Debtor Nation in the world. We should be expending our capital to have our troops defending our borders – and bring our troops home to do just that.

    You’re wrong about the nukes. The USSR leaders were cunning but intelligent people who knew and cared what mutual destruction meant. These Iranians and other Muslim countries view this as a “holy war”. To them dying to accomplish “Allahs will” means martyrdom.       This is, in fact, my greatest concern. But if Israel has 300 nukes, they could wipe out Iran & any arab country that attacks them. Israel is unique among all the other nations in the world as God blesses those nations that bless them & curses those nations that curse them. If we simply stop trying to force Israel to do what they think is not in their own self interest, it would go a long way in the right direction. Ron Paul would stop trying to force Israel into doing things in a misguided attempt to solve a problem that has been going on since Ishmael & Isaac were born, later re-ignighted by Mohammed & Islam. We are not wise enough to solve this problem & should not force a false peace upon the parties involved. In fact, trying to do so risks us coming under God's curses, not His blessings.

    When you really listen, and think about the answers to well thought out, specific questions on almost every domestic, and foreign policy issue, Ron Paul has a logical, rational, and reasonable answer. He answers in a direct, no nonsense manner, which only he, Michelle Bachmann, Herman Cain, and Alan West do. There are the four names that will make the best team to begin straightening out the mess America is in. These four candidates need to work together, and avoid any infighting, because they are not diametrically opposed on any issue.
    We have to remember that Alan West was; and still is; a professional soldier, and is used to being in-charge, and in command. His comments regarding Ron Paul; I believe; were misdirected, and an unfortunate statement that he needs to correct. If these four people can be members of a new Administration, great things will happen in America.
    Not since the Goldwater/Johnson Presidential race, have we had such a clear, and opposite doctrines, on how government should influence the lives, liberties, and freedoms of the people. We need the best people, to solve the unsolvable problems that exist at this place in time. Paul, Bachmann, Cain, and West, need to work together, to put Obama in the un-employment line.

      What would be greater support on our part for Israel than anything else we've done for her in the last twenty years would be, in order of importance:
      1) Get our butts OUT of the UN
      2) REFRAIN from telling Israel not to defend herself and/or INTERFERING with Israel's self defense.

    Why do I read that Ron Paul is weak on illegals and SS…. Read up on him.He doesn’t like illegals and when they come here and have babies he wants to stop that they can stay just for that. He wants them out and wants to tighten our boarders.. As for SS, he wants to take the financial burden off the young people who pay in and it wont be here for them. He has a different plan for them for their future.. To me he has a lot on the ball and has great ideas for all of our futures… Again, read up!

      right! he would allow for an "opt out" position regarding SS. the slack would be picked up by the money saved in the wars being ended. that way we could keep our promise to the generations that are actually depending on SS while slowly switching to privatization. and who the hell wouldn't opt out and save their money for themselves? we'd get more in the end that way, and we would probably avoid civil unrest. this is in his book "the revolution". a great read that i highly recommend.

    Ron Paul has some good ideas, but a few freaky ones and I really think he would make a lousy President. He gets along fine for a while and then says something really nutty. No thanks.

    All of the Democrat Party and much of the Republican Party are IN THE TANK with NWO interests. Most of the current Presidential contenders, INCLUDING SOME OF THE REPUBLICAN CONTENDERS, are IN THAT TANK. If we get too many of them elected in 2012 (remember that many of them are ALREADY IN CONGRESS), our SOVEREIGNTY will be IRRECOVERABLY LOST. When and if THAT (God forbid!) happens, THINGS WILL GET SO BAD that ALL issues besides sovereignty will appear, in retrospect, TOO LATE, to be UNIMPORTANT. Ron Paul UNDERSTANDS this, Bachman and Palin probably do, and West probably does, but he has said that he won't run. Is there ANY other GOOD candidate WHO IS ACTUALLY RUNNING? You tell me! And DON'T EVEN THINK of recommending any RINO, Bilderberger, CFR member, or advocate of the Trialateral Commission or North American Union!

    Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on your point of view, winning the presidency depends not only on what you say you represent, but on the way you look. Remember the Kennedy-Nixon debates on TV? Kennedy looked like a movie star and Nixon looked like he was being indicted on kiddie porn charges.

    Ron Paul doesn't project a strong, vibrant image. He looks like a tired old codger that would be more at home around a cracker barrel than the Oval Office. I like his stance on following the Constitution, what it takes to stimulate employment, tax reform, and smaller government. But when the issue of national defense, or a strong military comes up, he talks like a naive isolationist. I think Ron Paul would have been viewed in a much better light had he said that he was in favor of a strong military. maintaining our commitments to our allies and the price of freedom being "eternal vigilance", while also saying that we need to be very careful about committing American military resources to other countries' civil wars and/or becoming involved in attempts at nation building.

      Let me clue you in, anyone who calls Ron Paul an Isolationist gives away the fact that they are a Neocon and not a Republican.

      Why? Because he is a Non-interventionist. Just like our founding fathers, you know the esteemed writers of our bill of rights and constitution.

      I'm late to the party on this one, however, we have been used as the international police since WWII, and what has it gotten us? "Another day older and deeper in debt" Tennessee Ernie Ford.
      Defend Israel…….heck, if we'd just let them go they'd do just fine…..matter of fact, they'd do better than fine. Might just take over the whole region.
      Ron Paul has that reedy voice….kinda like Bush the elder, but Bush got a speech coach. And the good doctor is about as vibrant now as he was 30 years ago.
      Its unfortunate that you are absolutely correct on looks. I remember Kennedy somewhat differently, I remember women saying they were going to vote for him because "he's so cute". Lincoln would have been in real trouble.
      Lastly, where does Dr Paul say he is anti-defense? Maybe the military industrial complex and all that waste and thievery.
      BTW, I'm a combat wounded veteran and retired Army officer.

    If we wipe out Iran, ALL of the other islamic countries will be after us with a vengeance. islam is the motive force behind Iranian aggression. The "simultaneous solution" to BOTH problems is to turn MECCA into a glass parking lot. As soon as it eventually DAWNS on the moslems that "Allah" is NOT going to avenge them, they will belatedly figure out that their SO-CALLED "religion", along with its PROMISED VIRGINS, is a FAKE, and they will ABANDON IT. ALL OF THEM. PROBLEM SOLVED. Constitutionally, the onus to get this DONE rests NOT with the President, but with CONGRESS.
