Voting is Not Enough

Ed Martin, congressional candidate, speaks on state sovereignty, interposition, and voting – at Nullify Now! Kansas City on August 20, 2011.

This is no time for just voting. Voting is not enough. But in both parties, we have too many leaders who think that’s the answer.

We ought to have governors around the country who say NO!

Where are the representatives who will stand up and say NO. Not just vote no, that’s not enough.

It’s not enough to just run these folks out of office, although we should. We also have to win the argument.

Voting is not enough we have to call our reps, talk others into voting and pass a law if you are not paying taxes you do not get to vote. The takers would find a way around it.

I keep complaining to my representative but I'm of the opinion everything I say falls on deaf ears. I don't think Congress really cares what We The People have to say or what we think! They do whatever they want. What do I base that on? I BASE IT ON THEIR ACTIONS OR NON ACTION IM MOST CASES! I used to get replies from my representative but now I get nothing…

That is why you must win the argument with your neighbors. Everything YOU say may fall on deaf ears. If your representative has to hire more people just to answer the phone, and they ALL say the same thing, it has an impact.

We really need to indict, arrest and try these politicians for treason, misrepresentation, fraud, corruption and a host of other crimes. We then need to execute some of them. I know this sounds harsh but if someone broke into my house with a view to robbing me and enslaving my family I would shoot them and feel quite justified in doing so. I would probably be vindicated by a Jury of my peers as well. These politicians have raided our Social Security without our knowledge or approval, taken away our rights, gotten us hopelessly in debt. They deserve to be executed if anyone in this nation ever did. We would not have to worry about future Congresses taking their charge and oathes seriously if the threat of trial and execution awaited traitors. We need to inject accountability into the national political dialogue.

      Hey Bob,

I couldn’t agree with you more!!

The problem is most people are aware of politicians having broken in to the Social Security trust fund (& Medicare & any other "funds" there might be)… but these same people keep re-electing these crooks. So in the end, it's our own collective fault. When they first started doing this years ago, they should have been immediately stopped, but they weren't… and both parties now consider it part of "business as usual" in Washington. Again, we need a completely new kind of politician in the White House who will drastically change things for the better, like Ron Paul. The other establishment types will tend to just go along with "business as usual".

VOTEING IS WHAT GOT US INTO THIS MESS. Pelosi vetted the oboner and alot of people fell for it. We the people have the right to see all that is sealed, especially afte we were shown a fake birth certificate 3 times. No other conclusion but he is a fake also. ASAP his ass out now. If you or I got caught with a fake drivers licence we would go to jail. This is the top crime of the century. why is it being ignored? Because someone said they saw the real fake one. no wonder othercountrys are laughing at us.

Thats why we pray, talk to family and friends and use our voice of truth. We are children of God and a Christian family that walks with Christ..Votes have never been enough, they can be bought and stolen with power and arrogance of evil…

What everybody is forgetting is one very simple but powerful concept. That concept is that our nation, our Governmental System is based on the fact that we are "Governed by the Consent of the Governed", meaning that all people should have a vote in every Bill that is proposed because every Bill that is passed either at the Federal or State level is a new law that we must abide by and We The People should be able to vote on these bills. That would mean that our elected officials have our Consent to pass or reject the proposed laws. How can they have our Consent of we don't have the opportunity to vote on them ourselves.
This needs to be changed so the voter can have the opportunity to vote on the Bills ourselves, that way we would have given our consent. I highly suspect that if this would happen and we were given the opportunity to vote on the Bills ourselves, that most of the Proposed Bills that effect us on a daily basis would not be passed and would actually be outright rejected by us.

    • Frank

What you are proposing is a democracy and what will happen is you will get mobocracy. What we have now is a representative mobocracy. We need to go back to being a true republic as originally intended by our Founding Fathers.

    • Gail47

I think Congress is trying to pass legislation that states if bills don't agree with the Constitution they don't get passed.

For too long we have had the foxes running the chicken coop. These are people who cannot balance their own checkbooks, but they have access to our money, literally all of it. If this is not a setup for a Monty Python movie where we all cry at the ending I have never seen one. When does the revolution start?

You know, AdrianVance, that was a rallying cry in Russia in the 1900s and Cuba in the 50s.
