Biden: Bush Broke it, but We Own it

Republicans and conservatives are pouncing today on this Joe Biden interview, in which he acknowledged that even if Bush tanked the economy, the upcoming election will be a referendum on how he and Obama handled it:

Vice President Joe Biden said in a live interview with Miami public radio station WLRN Thursday that the Obama administration — not the Bush administration — now has ownership of the struggling U.S. economy…

“Even though 50-some percent of the American people think the economy tanked because of the last administration, that’s not relevant,” said the vice president. “What’s relevant is we’re in charge.”…

Biden said it is “totally legitimate” for the 2012 presidential election to be “a referendum on Obama and Biden and the nature and state of the economy.” He said Americans will need to make a choice between what the Obama administration is offering to address the problem and what is being offered by the eventual Republican nominee.

The DNC is using Joe Biden as a telograph (message person) to tell Mr. Obama that the show is over. He will be gone when they offer him enough money to go back to his birthplace.

The Demos have tried for years to disarm Americans, I think the gun owners have got more brains that the Demwits party and all of the attorneys who are allways trying to make some kind of law that doesn' makea lot of sense to me. I do know
that someof the polititions have allowed the trade unions to run a lot of business's out of this country with the picketing and shutdowns, its very hard to find almost anything that is made in the good ole USA anymore, most of the big business.s have folded up their tents and gone over seas, now we got obummer allowing the illegals to move in. WOW, Ican hardly wait til the elections next year I will have a golden opportunity to vote for someone beside OB, I think a lot of the blacks and the people who have their head in the sand may try to reelect Obummer, but all in all a lot of people will vote against him. I certainly hope we can vote OB out. Frank- Tumwater,Wa

Give Biden credit for knowing more than Obama on this topic. They should own it; that is way overdue!!

Biden was picked as Vice President, but how did he ever get elected as a Senator from Delaware. He comes across as dumber than a box of rocks with some of the things he comes out with.
I am not a college professor, but I am a lot smarter than Joe is. At least I think so. God bless America and its people.

let me be brief BIDEN YOU SIR ARE A COMPLETE IDIOT thank you

  • Jerry

Thanks joe!!! I know you have been telling your little scumbag zero to say that! Bush left with about $858.8 billion, you know billion, not trillion and also not about one-third the amount of all 43 presidents before him!! Do you have any idea who I am talking about, joe!!!!

  • Jerry

You can't equate yourself with a Republican candidate, joe you or no other dim-wit dim. While you're at it, just admit that your whole career has been dependent upon someone else's ideas –like Stalin or Mussolini–and not one of you dim–wit dims can equalyze with a true conservative Republican!!!

Bush did not break it, as a matter of fact he warned about the Banking legislation as early as 2002 that was passed during the Clinton presidency about full filling the dream of every american owning a house. Not every american can own a house because they all can not afford it. As shown by the mortgage crisis. That legislation was ram rooded throught in the Clinton Whitehouse and the democrates own the whole messlock stock and barrel.

a wise man, who built up his own company from scratch made a comment to me years ago ( i worked for him ) " anyone can run a business when things are good… a real leader can do it when work is hard to get " …. kind of says it all about the current bunch of pretenders ! but i think there is more to it than who the president is or was. we ( USA ) have given our fortitude away for many years now ! we have trained foreigners and students to do jobs that used to be ours ( a lot of times for free, when we don't do that for our own students )! when the country became a service oriented place rather than a manufacturing giant, the handwriting was on the wall ,but nobody wanted to read it!when AMERICAN companies got tired of fighting about soaring wages and benefits for workers, and decided it was better and cheaper to do the work overseas, did we think of what this would cause here in the USA ? did we wonder who might buy the products made cheaper elsewhere, if workers here made no wages ,so could not buy the products?

when it was announced years ago that the RECREATION INDUSTRY became one of the BIG THREE industries of the USA did anyone think …this is way out of wack !?i watch young families , seems like 4 children is a popular amount to have these days, and i wonder ..where will they ever find work places ? remember it was not too long ago that CHINA limited family sizes…that could happen here too unless AMERICA finds a way to sell and export workers… or get industry back to US soil ( or is too late for that) ? this pimple has been festuring for a long long time, and i don't think the healers are the ones in charge… BUT do we have anyone to fix the sickness our country is having ??

What about Franklin Raines and Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae? Bush wouldn't sign off on …in 2005 Alan Greenspan told Congress how urgent it was for it to act in the clearest possible terms: If Fannie and Freddie “continue to grow, continue to have the low capital that they have, continue to engage in the dynamic hedging of their portfolios, which they need to do for interest rate risk aversion, they potentially create ever-growing potential systemic risk down the road,” he said. “We are placing the total financial system of the future at a substantial risk.”
What happened next was extraordinary. For the first time in history, a serious Fannie and Freddie reform bill was passed by the Senate Banking Committee. The bill gave a regulator power to crack down, and would have required the companies to eliminate their investments in risky assets. . . .
Now that the collapse has occurred, the roadblock built by Senate Democrats in 2005 is unforgivable. Many who opposed the bill doubtlessly did so for honorable reasons. Fannie and Freddie provided mounds of materials defending their practices. Perhaps some found their propaganda convincing.
But we now know that many of the senators who protected Fannie and Freddie, including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Christopher Dodd, have received mind-boggling levels of financial support from them over the years.

Idiot biden is the worst person to nstate anything about anything. His statements are twisted or out right lies to bolster the liberal agenda. This dolt needs to sit down and shut his mouth.

Only Biden's last remark, above, makes sense…..It's also true that, I will vote for whomever the Republicans nominate – just like I have, every election, since I began voting in 1980, at the age of 19!
Only one thing can change that, too…..The liberals will have to see the Light and stop acting as if they are gods, whom the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has annointed to decide everything, in His stead!
As far as I am concerned Sen. Zell Miller was right, when he said, "The Democrats have left the will of the people, back in 1997, when he proceeded to disagree with almost all the plans of trhe democratic party.

How is it that every horse' rump, in America, can blame Bush for the stupidity of an innept president?
First of all, Obama took a near trillion dollar deficit, which had taken nearly 100 years to amass and turned it into
a $15,000,000,000,000 deficit and is trying to double that — how he (or his innept Vice President) can imagine
blaming anyone else for that, Is beyond me!

We have an innept president, who probably needs "L" and "R" written inside his shoes, so he'll know which one goes where (that is, assuming he knows his left from his right) as well as a stupid Vice President, who can only pander to the lily-livered, left wing loving press!

America, which was founded on God's pricniples has become a bad place for God-loving-law-abiding citizens to dwell!
