Santorum to Romney: ‘You Just Don’t Have Credibility’

Former Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania launched a frontal assault on former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in last night’s Republican presidential debate in Las Vegas, Nev., telling Romney he lacked credibility when he claimed he would repeal Obamacare because Romney’s own health-care plan in Massachussets was the model for Obamacare.

“You just don’t have credibility, Mitt, when it comes to repealing Obamacare,” Santorum said in the debate, as he looked directly at Romney.

“Your plan was the basis for Obamacare,” Santorum told Romney. “Your consultants helped Obama craft Obamacare. And to say that you are going to repeal it? You have no track record on that that we can trust you that you are going to do that. You don’t.”

One thing I'm sure about is that Perry's bag of tricks is empty for attacking Romney about employing illegals to do his landscaping.
The fact is he employed a legal company that had all the proper WC and liability insurance, but the company was employing illegals unbeknown to him. Are we , as consumers, supposed to check the legal status of employees of any legal contractor we employ? And then he's a bad guy for giving the company a second chance after the company promised to no longer employ illegals?
Romney is not my favorite, but I don't like candidates who need to resort to deception either.

Romney's formula has been to say whatever it takes to make the deal, get elected or whatever. It has caught up with him in an era when people read and save books, make videotapes and keep them. Santorum is a pro and he will nail Romney every time he can.

People, we have real, serious trouble with the economy and the only one on that stage truly understands the depth of it and what needs to be done, Ron Paul

All this bickering between the Romney and Perry really do the American people a tremendous disservice, while they ignore the fact that the federal government is too massive and bloated, and that operating under a wrongheaded notion that "deficits don't matter" is the second of the most important reason we are in such trouble.

Under both governments, this insane spending has been rampant and longstanding and it must end because there is no way we can GROW our way out of this dire situation. With the level of debt we have. This country's unfunded liabilities and obligations are well north of 140 TRILLION.

Why do I say this? Because a member of the Federal Reserve wrote a warning letter back in 2008 that said that the figure was at least 100 TRILLION and we all know what has happened since the liar-in-chief became president along with a complicent Congress. http://dallasfed.org/news/speeches/fisher/2008/fs….

And, this coming from a highly secretive entity, the Fed, that continues to work for the big banks and their CEOs by loaning them money at 0% interest while the banks make a tidy sum by charging 2, 3, 4%, billions upon billions, on the money it lends. While people living on CDs are getting practically nothing in interest.

Ron Paul continues to try to warn people about the dangerous policies of the Fed and its incessant printing of phony Monopoly Money backed by no commodity, like gold and or silver, only the "full faith and credit of the United States government." Well, there once was a time when that meant something … not anymore because the government is flat broke.

And today, there is this from Bloomberg News. It seems the Fed is trying to backstop at least 75 TRILLION of US Bank derivatives due Bank of America's exposure to the European Banks. This is to be followed by JP Morgan Bank with its exposure of some 79 TRILLION, too.

Yep. It is We The People taxpaying public who will pay for this, yet again. And, God help us all.

Again, no to Ron Paul because he is an isolaionist. the USA cannot afford to stick it's head in the sand while the rest of the world marches to the tune of globalism. It will destroy us. Just what the Islamists want.

That debate was some crackin' great entertainment in a very Jerry Springer-esque kind of way! If the building trend continues into the upcoming GOP debates, watch for the chairs to go a-flying!
