Professed Occupy Portland Members Arrested Carrying Bombs Intended for Police

A traffic stop of a speeding vehicle led to the arrest of three men, who claimed to be Occupy Portland demonstrators, and the seizure of incendiary devices, gas masks and fireworks.

Traffic Safety Deputy Ryan Postlewait saw a gray Subaru Outback going southbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 245 at 8:40am.  It was traveling at a high rate of speed.  Using his radar, he verified the speed of the Subaru at 81mph.  Postlewait initiated a traffic stop.

The driver of the car was identified as William Maxwell Patterson, 21.  The passengers in the car were identified as Emery Nicholas Luff, 21 and Zachary Salzwedel-Kemp, 20.  All three were from Klamath Falls.

All three suspects said that they had spent the night at the Occupy Portland demonstration.  They admitted that they brought the seized items to the demonstration in preparation for a confrontation with police when they expected to be forcibly removed from the park.  They admitted being at the protest during the police confrontation and had left about an hour before Postelwait stopped them.

    I am glad thier plot to kill police officers at the stand off. The police did a good job foiling their violent plot. These idiots are giong to the pokey for a long time. These guys would have been better off in getting a job instead.

    It infuriates me that Eric Holder and Barak Obama implemented "Fast and Furious" as a ruse to bring down the second amendment to the constitution, and bring absolute gun control to the United States. When agencies engage in this kind of clandestine thugery, the law should come down on them very hard . . . as in impeachment.

    When I was the age of most of the OWS crowd I didn't have much sense either but at least I had been raised by strict Christian parents and knew right from wrong. The parents of the OWS young people need to be the ones given a good licking on the you know what for not teaching their children how to think with at least establishment principles and how to work hard. My children had chores to do when they got home from school and now my grandchildren have responsibilities around the house as well. Their friends at school do not and are allowed to run around and do whatever they please. Chores are unheard of. Most parents but not all are to blame when their children decide to go against the law.

    Authorities r treating these OCCUPIERS as " HONKY-DORKY" demonstration, but trust me they will run out of MAN-POWER 2 control this people! It's CLEAR that these people R getting ready 4 something even BIGGER & DANGEROUS! I said it before & I will say it again there will be LOTS & LOSTS of lives LOST because of this OUT OF CONTROL BEHAVIOR that many tend 2 think this is just a MOMENTARILY INNOCENT MOVEMENT when in actuality they R getting BIGGER & BIGGER & GROWING MORE PERILOUS, THREATENING & RISKIER THAN EVER!!!
