Evidence: ATF Used ‘Fast And Furious’ To Demonize 2nd Amendment

As we postulated when the scandal broke, the Fast and Furious program that saw the ATF deliver guns into the hands of Mexican drug gangs was admittedly exploited to demonize the second amendment and push new gun control regulations.

“Documents obtained by CBS News show that the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) discussed using their covert operation “Fast and Furious” to argue for controversial new rules about gun sales.”

Emails obtained by the network show ATF agents discussing how they could tie guns involved in Mexican violence to gun dealers based in the U.S. to justify the implementation of Demand Letter 3, a regulation that would require U.S. gun stores to report the sale of multiple rifles.

One of the emails states, “Bill – can you see if these guns were all purchased from the same (licensed gun dealer) and at one time. We are looking at anecdotal cases to support a demand letter on long gun multiple sales. Thanks.”

    At least two years ago we had these little "blurbs" in the news which were attributed to anonymous government people talking about how guns were showing up in Mexico and they knew they were being supplied by people on our side of the border. I saw the handwriting on the wall then but didn't realize how correct my suspicions were. They were making that stupid case for regulating gun sales to Americans. Hello, Fast and Furious, we just didn't see how convoluted an spurious the plans of the government really were!! Just how disgusting do things have to get before even the liberals want to throw up?

      Hello dingbat36, Ted here. I was thinking about what to post while reading your post and realized that you had already taken care of it. I probably wouldn't have been so nice about it though, much to your credit. Today we get to see Eric Holder and Jon Korsine thumb their noses at the american people again. Who knows just how much the oversight commitee will take of this garbage before they press charges. I'd love to see them both exposed for what they are and taken out in handcuffs to await full prosicution.

        Hey Ted,
        Maynard here. Included in this back door mirror show should be Hillary and Obummer. They knew exactly what was going on and why. Both would love to see the UN take over control of ALL guns thus putting the U.S. under the control of FOREIGNERS. Now, given the fact that there are at least 2.5 million hunters plus that many that use their guns for range shooting, you can see it will not be a cake walk for them to get their slimmy hands on the guns. Pass what they may, collecting the product is a different story.

        Thanks for the kind words……….I have to be very careful as it is in my nature to be pretty profane. My dad was a contractor and had a mouth that would have made a pirate's parrot blush. I'm afraid I take after him but know better than to do that here as it would no doubt frustrate me as it does the people who post here and can't figure out why they are censored. Words matter and particularly in a Christian website's forum.

    This is typical of our muslem presidents plan to take all our weapons from us so as he can be the dictator of our country. Everyone in the Black house knew about it but were afraid to come foreward. Obama and his regime needs to end now hopefully someone in our government will step forward and start empeachment process.His next agenda is to arrest anyone who disagrees with him

      I find it asinine for the WH to want to take the weapons away from citizens when they are they ones who can’t seem to keep up with the damage “they perpetrated not only on Mexico — not only on American Citizens but that law men were murdered by the very weapons “THEY” provided.

    Everyone must remember whe the Mexican President Calderon came to the US complaining about two things our border policies and US guns going to Mexico. Of course Obama jumped on this and said the US needs new gun laws. Unfortunately the Fast and Furious scandal hit the papers. Now you do not hear a word about this. Hillary Clinton even tried to make strciter gun laws a UN issue. This president is not only dishonest he is dangerous. I just hope the people wake up and see he is really anti-american and trully a Marxist.

    the doj and dea have denied and delayed for long enough now too cover the actual documents and such so they can have there one or two scape goats and holder will get off scott free..when obullcrap is voted out of office,,the new DOJ and President should press murder charges against all involved,,including obama, hillary and holder

Talking with a lib friend recently, he had no idea that 'fast an furious' even existed. Watching and listening to the MSM, he'd not heard anything about it.
    Think about it, if they can blame the legitimate gun owners, buyers, dealers, and get away with it. Next step – go on the MSM and let the lies spew forth. 2A rights could be destroyed in days. Game over.

    Recall they about a year ago (before the Fast & Furious story broke) the news media regaled us with horror tales to the effect that 90% of the guns in Mexico came from the United States. The object of all these articles was to further gun control in our own country.
    We didn't know that Holder's DOJ was providing these guns – at taxpayers expense – to further their political aims. We should have known. Everything this Chicago Thug administration does is aimed at destroying our liberty.

    That was the main reason and attempt of 'Operation Fast and Furious', by Holder and Obama, who together planned, instituted, and directed this law-breaking operation (is the government truly free to break our laws without retribution) in order to create as much gun violence on our border, and then blame it on our 2nd Amendment rights, in the attempt to change public opinion to their gun control advocacy, in order to prevent American citizens from execising their 2nd Amendment rights. Thank GOD for honest Americans, who let the cat out of the bag before even more, besides the two we already know about, Americans were killed in Obama's and Holder's efforts to rescind our 2nd Amendment rights. I can understand how Mexicans feel about this unlawful operation, after the hundreds of Mexican deaths because of the illegal exportation of guns from the USA to Mexico by the DOJ and the ATF, despite the complaints by the agents in the field who were ordered to continue to break our laws.

    This plan to let guns walk across the border to Mexico was a deliberate attempt to let the border situation get so out of control that the DOJ and ATF could point their fingers at the gun dealers they bought the guns from and use that excuse to attack our second amendment rights. What they didn't realize was that their deception would be found out and that one of our own border patrol agents would die as a result. As a resident who lives only 20 miles from El Paso, Texas, I can say first hand that since 2008, the border situation in Juarez, Mexico has deteriorated so severely that most Americans would not even think about crossing the border. What used to be a safe, tourist friendly border city has now become one of the most dangerous cities in the world. What a sad state of affairs!

    And after ALL of this information becomming public – still no impeachment proceedings! It's not just Mr. Obama that is the problem here – it's the ENTIRE CONGRESS. It was CONGRESS that setup the unconstitutional BATF. The federal governmenth has NO RIGHT to regulate firearms under our constitution! If owning a gun is a GOD GIVEN RIGHT, then a "regulation" on that right is a VIOLATION of that right. A "right" cannot be "regulated" otherwise it is NOT A RIGHT! The BATF MUST BE ABOLISHED ONCE AND FOR ALL. These same DEMONS attacked those people in Waco, and MURDERED DOZENS OF CHILDREN, yet not one charge was EVER brought against these jack-boot agents.

    Today, 12/8/11, there is another comgressional hearing with Eric Holder. I can't wait to hear all the lies he will tell today, I hope they nail his behind, put him on trial for treason, along with Obama by the way, and after they are found guilty sentence them to the death penalty for their betrayal of this counrty and causing the death of at least on American Citizen Border Partrol.

    The 2nd amendment as ratified could read as follows without any change to the powers affirmed for and denied to government:

    'A well regulated militia, which is the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.'

    Like it or not, gun regulation is coming to America, and the 2nd amendment, so called, will be a means used to impose it. Every gun owner will be in the milita, and no gun owner will be tolerated not belonging to the militia. Furthermore, armories are perfectly safe places for the militia to store its weapons, or so it will be argued. But Obama, Clinton, etc. will see to it that no angry gunhugger will be eligible for the militia, which is under the power of Congress and the president to control, as Article I and Article II make abundantly clear.

    As more and more information is finally released by Holder and the AG office, it is obvious that Holder was instrumental in deciding to authorize this criminal conspiracy to attempt to deny us of our 2nd Amendment Constitutional Rights. It is also obvious that Holder would not have done this without Obama’s approval and authorization.

    The money for this criminal conspiracy was authorized under the Obama Stimulus Bill. Pelosi and Ried had to know ahead of time to put the money for this criminal conspiracy in the bill. They have now been shown to be co-conspirators for approving the criminal misuse of taxpayer money for this criminal act.
    They would do and allow anything to deny us of our 2nd Amendment rights, even be complicit in a criminal conspiracy by the White House and AG office. They are attempting to tie this to the 90% of the guns recovered come from the American Gun dealers. That statistic is a total lie. Obama knows it is a lie. He is using it to try to pass more anti-gun legislation, like reporting long gun purchases to ATF. That regulation is not authorized by legislation but Obama enforces that authority. Congress has not spoken out against this abuse of power.

    Obama, H. Clinton, Napolitano, Holder and many people in the White House, AG office, FBI and ATF agencies are co-conspirators to this criminal activity. Holder and Obama must be held to account. Hillary is also involved and must not be forgotten. There are criminal charges enough to go around.

    We must not allow Obama pardon Holder for this criminal act and allow Holder to lie to protect the President. The Congress and Senate must demand that Obama not pardon holder or any of the Co-conspirators because it will deny the American public justice.

    The Mainstream Media has not done its’ duty to the American Public. People died because of Holders misuse of power at the highest levels. Yes, including the White House and Obama. This is a political corruption and abuse of power being perpetrated in the WH now. Obama, Holder and Clinton are willing to violate American Peoples rights so that they can gain more power for themselves.

    Proof now exists of the conspiracy from the document dump of the intentional attempt to commit this crime. People died because of Fast and Furious, Americans died at Ruby Ridge and at Waco by agents of the government. Nobody has been held to account for these deaths. Nobody died because of Watergate. Why is Congress so slow to acts on these activities. Contact Beohner and demand action by the House now. It is long past time.
