White House backs Biden statement that Taliban is not the Enemy

The White House on Monday defended Vice President Joe Biden for saying that the Taliban isn’t an enemy of the United States despite the years spent fighting the militant Islamic group that gave a home to Al Qaeda and its leader Usama bin Laden while he plotted the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

“It’s only regrettable when taken out of context,” White House spokesman Jay Carney said of  the vice president’s remarks in an interview published Monday.

“It is a simple fact that we went into Afghanistan because of the attack on the United States on Sept. 11, 2001. We are there now to ultimately defeat Al Qaeda, to stabilize Afghanistan and stabilize it in part so that Al Qaeda or other terrorists who have as their aim attacks on the United States cannot establish a foothold again in that country,” Carney continued.

During Biden’s interview with Newsweek last week, the vice president said it’s “good enough” for the U.S. if Afghanistan stops being a “haven for people who do damage and have as a target the United States of America” and its allies. He added that the U.S. is supportive of a reconciliation process between the Afghan government and the Taliban even if it’s questionable whether a reconciliation is possible.

    They have to take the focus off Muslim terrorists like the Taliban so they can focus on their real objective. The American people who don't agree with this anti-Constitutional regime. That's the real purpose of Homeland Security, The Patriot Act, various anti-terror legislation, and the TSA police state taking place. It's also why they're hiring private contractors to build FEMA camps.

    It seems that too many people forgot who Biden was when they voted for Obama. Forget anything about Obama, Biden was not viable to sit in vice-presidential seat. It took all of the uneducated, ignorant, stupid people to vote for these two. How could anyone possibly consider putting this guy within one heartbeat of the Presidency of The United States, unless they were completely brain dead or felt they had something to gain from it?
    Biden is the guy who p;lagiarized EVERYONE else in the '80's. He was a flaming liberal then, and still is today. But, worse than that, nothing he says, when he opens his mouth, is worth repeating.

    Where is the media on this issue. We been fighting the for ten years and Our government want to say the people we killed for the pas ten years Or not our enemy. This is so wrong for them to make a statement like that. This statement is so our of line. Who might believe them.I remember when we went to war . President Bush told every one you either with us or against us. But we would go after the people that attacked us. If you support them or allow them to operate free . We would come after them. Now our vice president do not think they our enemy. He and Obama are smoking the same pipe. They need to get there head out the sand and throw away the pipe and may be they may see things a little clearer.

    Just a thought here, maybe a little off topic but I'm thinking of all the wars we get into, sending young men and women off to fight for whatever reason the government decides to give us, policing the rest of the world and deciding how they should live and forcing our ideas on them, yet in the meantime, over here, if someone does something to you personally and you retaliate, you get fined or put into jail and told that your not allowed to take the law into your own hands, and when we have states trying to protect themselves from illegals, they get sued. Don't you think our time and money would be so much better spent trying to straighten our own country out?
