Seriously? Romney Runs New Ad In Iowa to End ‘Obamacare’

Mitt Romney is airing a new 30-second ad in Iowa in which he promises to shrink government and get rid of the Obama administration’s healthcare reform law.

The ad, “Conservative Agenda”, features Romney promising to streamline the federal government and highlighting the former Massachusetts governor’s background as a businessman. Spliced together with clips of him talking, Romney is seen walking through factories and talking with voters in a diner setting.

“I’m going to do something to government,” Romney says in the ad. “I’m going to make it simpler and smaller and smarter. Getting rid of programs, turning programs back to states, and finally, making government itself more efficient.”
Romney also stresses stronger fiscal discipline in the ad.

“It’s a moral imperative for America to stop spending more money than we take in,” Romney says. “The experience of balancing budgets is desperately needed in Washington and I will take it there,” Romney says.

      Yes, Mr. Romny needs to keep on reenforcing that point. The point folks are over looking is that Mr. Romny and the Ma. Democratic machine though they wanted it too. But at the end it is a over burden health program that will go away in the next few years. It is actually good some we had some sort of model to study, which goes back to the large scale program that is certainly doomed to fail.
      It is good that Romny is against the Ma. Health Care plan, becuase Mr. Romny is calling for what Obama Care is ,A Failure of Great Proportions". No one can every say to Mr. Romny, Liberals in general, "Mr. President, You did not even tried this great program". The truth is he say that on a large scale any Federal Health like Obama Care is a long term failure.
      So lets not split hairs and pick a good candidate that apeals to both sides of the equation.

    If these pseudo-conservative candidates would just "do" instead of "say", then we might have a chance. What happened to all those people we voted into office in congress? I can't find them in the votes. They turn tail and run to the left once they get the position. I am sick of them all. I say "CLEAN HOUSE" – that goes for all three branches and the supreme court to boot.

        Not sure about mud but there sure is a lot more swamp gas eminating from the D.C. area. In my humble opinion, the best way to get rid of all that methane is to throw a lit match on it. This would have a two-fold benefit. It would cleanse Washington of all the worthless debris that now exists there and it would get rid of a whole lot of green house gas that has liberals so concerned.

    He can't seriously attack Obamacare in one breath and defend Romneycare in the next. And this article says nothing about Obamacare, save the headline. It just talks about balancing the budget. Massachusetts maintained a balanced budget after implementation of Romneycare; they just raised taxes to do it. And will someone please tell me how it costs so much money to force people to buy a product?

    He needs to explain, again and again how and why he will get rid of Obamacare in order to become credible. The intrinsic value of his latest statements is difficult to be proved but not impossible.

      romnie already said he will give waivers to any states that wants it and that is not repealing obamacare. That means that any demo governor that wants it for his atate will have obamacare and when they get on a hole ROMNIE WILL GIVE THEM A BAILOUT CAUSE ONCE THEY HAVE IT U CANNOT TAKE IT AWAY. duh! wHEN LATER THAT STATE GETS A RREPUBLICAN GOV. HE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CHANGE IT BACK, THAT STATE WILL BECOME A GIME GIME STATE. That is enough for me not to vote 4 him.

    If nothing else, Governor Romney is honest and moral. If he says he will get rid of Obamacare, he honestly means it. He is not a lying Commie/Muslim like our current burden.

      You are correct, Mr. Romny is a true leader. A true leader is some who not afraid of taking calulated risk to achive the objective. My years in the Infantry is testomony that nothing goes plan exactly how one plans it. A true leader with true determination, will admit that there was short comings to any plan and we as a team did not achieve the goals set out.

    At this point, I don't care who is nominated for the GOP because it wouldn't matter if they nominated Mickey Mouse for their candidate because everyone knows what another four years of the current administration will entail, it will be death for the middle class, and a fundamental change to socialism/marxism in this country that will probably never be stopped once it is started.

    The other fear that I have is that he will, by executive order, give all illegals the right to vote so he can guarantee that he and all other liberals continue to win elections, and if that doesn't work, have so much unrest (occupy Wall Street) and violence that he will declare Martial Law for the country's "own good" as he will put it, and it will be goodbye to the U.S. as we know it.

    It is my belief that everyone that wants this administration gone next year must vote for the GOP candidate, no matter who that is because a third party candidate will almost assuredly split the vote and the complainer in chief gets back in by default. None of these candidates really thrill me, but I am looking at this next election as a lesser of two evils and a vote against Obama, nothing else.

    I just pray that the 2012 elections are actually held and he isn't able to get them suspended, otherwise, I sincerely believe that we are doomed. Frankly, I don't remember ever feeling this sense of dread at all in my life until this upcoming election year.

    Romny is just another USELESS establishment R.I.N.O. who will say anything and do just the opposite if elected. He has proven over and over again that he will flip flop on the issues as often as he deems necessary. As such, he is not only someone who cannot be trusted, but someone with no moral prinicipals. As such he has no redeeming Conservative values.

    We, the citizen taxpayers of this country deserve better.
