Media Continued Blackout on Ron Paul in NH Race

Despite Ron Paul running a strong second according to polls and many news stories, CBS News completely blacked him out of their discussion of New Hampshire just the other night. Bloggers and supporters everywhere are outraged over one more instance in continued media bias against the multi-term Congressman from Texas despite his popularity.

LibertyPulse.com reports,

Thursday morning January 5th, 2012 on the Early Show, CBS news political correspondent Jan Crawford discusses the New Hampshire primary in video below which is titled ‘New Hampshire is the new Iowa’. During this segment they discuss every candidate in the Republican primary including Bachmann who dropped out, excluding Ron Paul from the entire segment. By not even mentioning Ron Paul’s name, once again, CBS brings into major question their ethics as a news agency. This segment becomes a bit comical/infuriating for Paul supporters as the report states that Romney has a 30 point lead over his rivals displaying Suffolk University Poll numbers for New Hampshire Romney 43% (skips mentioning Ron Paul who has 24% according to Washington Times) then they move to Gingrich, Huntsman and Santorum.

The only News Show that will tell it like it is, is FOX news.

    • http://www.stretchovision.com PepperdotNet

FOX news is owned by Newscorp, one of the six companies that own all American media. They are no more trustworthy than any other, they just spout "conservative" talking points instead of being 100% "liberal." Their campaign to discredit and marginalize Ron Paul has been shameless and unmatched by any of their competitors.

How Judge Napolitano and John Stossel have survived as long as they have on that propaganda outlet is beyond comprehension.

I don't get FBN, can't get it in my area. I would trade FNC for FBN in a heartbeat.

          Cut your cable, get Dish.

Sadly, even Fox News is actively engaged in a Ron Paul ignoring or minimizing campaign. Both wings of the MSM (CBS, ABC, NBC, etc) on the left & Fox News on the right are run by the establishment with a globalist agenda. Even on Fox News, if they mention Paul's name at all, they append it with things like:
      Ron Paul, who can't win
      Ron Paul & his clique
      Ron Paul, on the "fringe"
Hannity was interviewing Santorum & listed all the "conservative" opponents to Romney & who are splitting the anti-Romney votes, but omitted Ron Paul. Santorum pointed out to Hannity he forgot Ron Paul. Hannity quickly cut in, "Yes, I know I didn't mention his name on purpose!"

      • C.Davis

This is an outrage! Why is the FCC allowing Fox, owned by (former?) British subject Rupert Murdoch, to once again manipulate the American electoral process? I'll tell you why. Because under a Paul presidency the monopolistic control of the citizens' airwaves would come to a halt and the FCC leadership would have a good D&C(Dustin' and a cleanin' ) performed by the good doctor. Corrupt bureaucrats at all levels would be put on notice that their crap stops NOW.

    • John

Sometimes … Sorry , but this is a TOTAL SCAM ! No one wants to destroy the status quo , and that's it !

  • orples

When CBS and other 'major bought off media' networks pull stunts such as leaving Paul out of the Discussion, given his exploding popularity, they reveal themselves. Let them stick their own neck in the noose, they can't block Ron Paul anymore no matter how hard they try. Maybe it is time to boycott CBS and send them a message to play fair.

    • Joanneo

The media is controlled by the NWO. Ron is the only one that does not belong to that group..Does that explain it?? All true Americans should vote for Ron, otherwise we have more of the same, and God help us if we vote another one into office.

  • Jonathan Gartner

Well FOX had him on. In South Carolina of course they know him much better (and I am sure they are laughing at New Hampshire for voting for him) he will not progress much further than he has he is simply the flavor of the moment and does realize that his luggage. And just remember people that left the polls said that they were happy with Obama hardly indicative of the way the nation feels.

  • LIBERTYBELL

There will soon be an accounting for the americans who have forgotten that only God, Our Father in Heaven can change history, and for those who said Ron Paul cannot win nor would not win the Republican party nomination I think they better tell Gingrich, Perry, Santorum, Huntsman, because he already dispatched Bachmann, Pawlenta and Cain! They better start showing a little respect and give the man his due recognition or it might not be pretty for the republicans in the end!

  • http://theendisfar.wordpress.com/ The End is Far

Not surprising. If he was a Serial Cheater or Hypocrite, they could hammer away at his character. If his foreign policy was not correct, if you look at the last 60 years to get a clear understanding, then they could Scream ISOLATIONIST all day long and get away with it. If he only pretended to understand economics and monetary policy, then they could call him a fraud. If his multiple books and hundreds (thousands?) of speeches had ANY material in them that suggested he was a racist, then they could actually tie him to the FEW BS passages in the Newsletter he published.

But no, the only way they can try to hurt RP is to ignore him. His strong showing in NH shows the tactic is not working too well. The Media knows that a good portion of America is none too bright so playing ‘Hide the Candidate’ is an obvious strategy to serve the Two Party Oligarchy.

    • Paul

Only trouble is, Ron Paul will only get the vote of intelligent people and they are almost as scarce as "common" sense.

  • dingbat36

Whine, whine, squeal, squeal. Media is also not reporting some of Paul's outrageous comments either. A million civilian deaths in Iraq that our military was responsible for? That was exaggerated by a factor of 10 but no one on the debate stage bothered to challenge it either. Paul is infamous for his inflated (that's the kindest way I can put it) claims. Open mouth, insert foot to hip and chew!

    • Jonathan Gartner

You are right try looking back his comments were even more way out back then. Also beware of Paulbots who will tolerate no discussion their lock step is as bad as Obama's and keep on posting.

    • awakenow

I do not know where Dr. Paul got that 1 million Iraqi death figure but back in 1996, via a 60 Minutes interview, Madeleine Albright said that the deaths of 500,000 Iraqi children were "definitely worth it" and she did not dispute this figure. Later, she said she just misspoke and tried to suggest there were no sanctions against food or medicine.

Have we all forgotten that it was Clinton who started bombing Iraq just one day before the vote on his possible impeachment? And, that he continued to bomb Iraq until the day after his impeachment failed in the Senate? Also, it was Clinton who, in 1996, blocked any attempt to stop the UN sanctions against Iraq, leading to the critical shortages of medicine for Iraqi children.

It is certainly is not a stretch to consider that many, many Iraqi civilians have died from continued bloody civil wars, Sunnis against Shias and from the long Iraq War and the continued sanctions starting back in the 1990. Of course, Saddam killed any Iraqi who went against him, many people, too. This is very sad, considering that we once supported Saddam by giving him a lot of money, training and weapons to ramp up his war against Iran.

In any event, one thing is certain, sanctions punish the people of the sanctioned country far more than they punish its leaders … who end up using the misery it causes as a propaganda tool against the ones who create and enforce the sanctions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4PgpbQfxgo. http://www.fff.org/comment/com0311c.asp..

      • Jonathan Gartner

Actually Clinton wanted little or nothing to do with Iraq he got it as a left over from Bush Sr. he just did not know what to do with it so any real enforcement was haphazard. The Air Force Col who held the codes wrote a book about what Clinton did and didn't do

  • AlaskaMan

It is not surprising that NBC, a social agenda supporting group continues to undermine the American way. This effort to use the media as a weapon against the people fighting the progressives for this country is unacceptable , and if Barak Hussein Obama had a hair on his Kenyuan A__, or a REMOTE sense of constiutional agenda, he would decry this. Of course, Zmericans are realizing that there is nothing beneath Barak, or CBS/mainstream liberal media, and that only voting for Ron Paul will be effective in initializing the securing of the American dream.

  • Enrique

Very few people watch CBS news and those that do are die hard Liberals. There is little chance that they would ever vote for Paul, when they are driven to the voting both.

    • http://www.stretchovision.com PepperdotNet

You speak the truth. But this one instance just mirrors those committed by all the mainstream organizations. Their gravy train is threatened by a Paul presidency, and they don't like that at all.

    • Frank

Actually, you are not correct: there are many liberals dissatisfied with Obama for various reasons (such as starting more undeclared, Unconstitutional wars & more loss of freedoms) who would consider Ron Paul, but not other GOPers.

      • C.Davis

One big reason lots of democrats will vote against him is that he deceived them into voting for a moslem. I know lots of christians who are royally pissed about that.

        • skai

" ….that he deceived them into voting for a muslim. I know lots of Christians who are loyally pissed about that " You are right. And see what will happen to America if muslims population increases http://www.blip.tv/file/1382254

  • Dom

@dingbat so you really think the government gives accurate numbers as to how many civilians we’ve killed? More gullible hilarity from, what is probably, flyover country. Troops love him! He receives more contributions from military than any other candidate far and away. I guess it was inflated when he called the housing bubble, war with Afghanistan, civil unrest, debt beyond recovery, and it can go on and on and on… But you like dumb people in office as long as they “look the part” right? We’re screwed with people like you living in our country.

    • Jonathan Gartner

More disinformation about the Military loving him not true. Some in the Military may but the great majority does not sorry to burst your bubble. I served over 25 years and those I trained have said as much and they stretch from here to Germany to Afghanistan to Japan. And for civilians and death you really have never served have you????

      • awakenow

Jonathan, first, thank you for your service to our great nation. I do salute you and everyone who has sacrificed to defend our Constitution and our Republic.

However, I must add this. You seem to discredit the fact that Ron Paul is getting more in donations than all the other candidates combined. You are very willing to marginalize these donations that are, indeed, saying a great deal about their willingness to serve under a President Ron Paul and their commitment to their oath of office … to protect and defend the Constitution.

You see, they do understand who has the Constitution's back.

  • Maxine

All the news make me sick you cant belive any of them that is Fox news to I use to love Fox news because they told the truth and was good to everyone now they treat Ron Paul like crap and but mitt in are face the judge is the only one I will watch anymore I hope Ron Paul shows them all what butt holes they really are

  • Joyceann

It doesn't matter, none of these can debate Obama and win. The only one with a chance is Newt and we have Romney/obama shoved down our throat or the Paulbots that are way far right – our America is doomed.

    • C.Davis

A third grader could beat obama if they disallowed teleprompters. Get Real. You want to trade one globalist traitor for another.

    • William

Name calling will not dissuade us from our support for Ron Paul.

Your childish resort to labeling will will not cause us embarrassment.

Your assaults on the character of our candidate only serve to further our commitment.

      We will not be swayed.

Can you say the same for your support of your candidate?

  • Captain America

The News media isn't reporting the news, they are creating it, by bending the Truth, and excluding facts, to brain wash their reader into not voting for Ron Paul.
The Media favorit and the RINO favorite: Old man Bush, McCain, and the estabishment good ol boys back Ultral liberal democrat Mitt (gay marriage), and RomneyCare. Mitt another Bush backed war monger. Even S0cialist Bill Clinton backs Romney: https://mail.google.com/mail/?shva=1#label/Politi

  • Captain America

the Media is creating news not reporting, and Ultra Libral democrat Romney is back by the good ol boys, Old man Bush, McCain and even Bill Clinton: https://mail.google.com/mail/?shva=1#label/Politi

    Well, DUH!
Since when as the MSM had ethics in the last 20 years or so? If anyone is making waves in the political pond that might get traction to acually change the status quo, be it Paul, Palin (if running), Santorum, or Cain they will either be ignored or villified until they give up or are forced out.

  • c stan

If the Media and Establishment Politicians don't want Ron Paul… Then he Definately desrves a look on my vote!
I do wish he was a little less weed smoking on his views of our Military though.
The U.S. Military is Our Freedoms, and inadvertantly world freedoms Insurance Policy, and currently Obama wants to cancel that policy…
I would hope Ron Paul (if elected) would tone down his current desire to make major reductions of Our defense and instead be wiser at it. We may be all over the world but you have to admit it has worked at keeping the greater Peace… If we were not WWIII would already have come and gone. If we pulled out of everywhere now it would be a huge mistake with irreverseable consequences. You can make reductions in less important areas but you gotta keep your Cajones'

    • Jonathan Gartner

You are right but, both Paul and Obama would castraight the military one because of the Constitution the other because the military would not tolerate his dictatorship (sorry about the spelling)

    • awakenow

c stan, under a President Ron Paul, our spending on defense will still be five times what any other nation spends. His plan is not to cut the military, our soldiers pay or the defense of our country. Rather, his plan is to cut back on our military-industrial complex itself .. all those hugely expensive defense contracts that are adding to our debt.

Please understand that the bases in some 120+ countries, 900 bases, subsidize those those countries' economies. The troops spend their money in Germany, and everywhere else our bases are … not here in the U.S. When you add the cost of the wars with our defense budget, we are spending some 1 TRILLION per year.

And, last time I looked, our own country was drowning in debt … approaching 16 TRILLION with a Debt to GDP Ratio of 100%. 100%.

Ron Paul is a former Vietnam veteran and he served for 5 years. He respects our military and his fellow soldiers. He fears and has been warning about our government's desire to be involved in something the Founders feared … entangling, military, alliances with nations that are no threat to our own.

Tell me, what irreversible consequences would happen if we actually followed our Constitution which says that our troops should be used to protect and defend our own borders and shores? Will we be attacked for doing this?

  • C.Davis

Although as Americans, we are bound not to discriminate due to race, color, creed or national origin, the notion that the electorate in the evangelical heartland will support a candidate who is a mormon, who is anti-second amendment, and has mandated mandatory health care as those in the notoriously liberal New Hampshire has done is counterintuitive.
To cite an example, my sister, who is evangelical said of Romney "What I want to know is , how many dead people is he married to?" Like it or not, when faced with a choice between a Moslem, a Mormon, and a Baptist (I know, it sounds like the first line of a joke) The vast majority in the USof A are going to vote for the baptist( Ron Paul,) because they really have no concept of the thought processes or motivation this other sort of person operates upon. Of course a certain segment of the mind numbed video head shut-in fluoride victims are going to simply do what they're told on TV. But bible belt primaries may depend heavily upon how the discussions go in the churches. Will the co-opted ministers be able to quell the dissent among their flocks as easily as the lamestream has among theirs? This remains to be seen. Particularly in light of the contradictions the Debt Through Endless War system have with the teachings of Jesus.
Ron Paul's principles align quite well with these teachings, in spite of what the zombies murmur. So if you value your maker's opinion of the stand you've taken over the opinion of your neighbors perception of your having voted for a "winner, or that by the perception that you are obligated to replace the devil you know with the devil you don't, then I suggest you look into what I say, ask yourself "who would Jesus bomb," and then deside whether you will choose to align with the "Prince of Peace" or not. Thank You.

  • missy – moomoo

RP's middle initial should be 'I' because he's dead in the water. He's a kook. Just the other day he was on some program saying that Bachmann doesn't like Muslims. That is so irresponsible. I can't take RIP seriously.

    • 1ofthemany

Well missy moo moo you got a better choice??? I would think not, all is rigged as this is the false AmeriKA we now live in so get ready to loose more of your freedom and choices, so much going on one needs to dbe iligent and proactive for your own good, if we do not have someone to fight the good fight for WE THE PEOPLE while the vast amount of money put forth by WE THE PEOPLE should be used accordingly or you can do it your self!!! No you can not, we must join not divide!
Think for moment would you??? seriously…or maybe you are into hype media and political marketing media which is well controlled and mind manipulating to those that can not think, I mean you no harm only enlightenment to your freedom which is precious and we ain't been getting it, we are loosing it daily. Please try to connect the dots or you are doomed, take up your rights and carry them forth with courage and commitment while you still can. Blessings 2 U my dear

    Dr.Ron Paul 2012 !!!

  • premonition010

Gotta love the Dr. Ron Paul HATERS who somehow continue justify the perpetuation of the "Status Quo" which has America Teetering on the brink. They willingly submit to the whims of a pseudo aristocracy made up of Temps. They are manipulated by the Lame Stream Media types who attempt to make or make-up the News instead of Reporting it. They tout as fact that which bears little resemblance to fact and disregard proof that Dr. Ron Paul is the ONLY CANDIDATE to offer specific solution as others offer platitudes .

It is NO WONDER that America is faltering and in its demise will be insured as long as WE live in a state of denial, refusing to make the necessary changes to avert economic collapse. When the collapse comes ALL Americans will be forced, finally, to admit the truth. Wide spread Poverty and Anarchy will dictate survival, as the Rule of Law becomes moot.

Enjoy life NOW all you Dr. Ron Paul HATERS, as your silly diatribes won't save you from what is surely coming, Wholesale Misery ! When America cannot continue financially ALL ENTITLEMENTS will end and Mass Starvation will begin in earnest. See you there !

  • Jonathan Gartner

What facts that he warms a seat in Congress doing little or nothing for 23 years??? spouts off the Constitution to make him look wise. He has no understanding he reads words and makes pronouncements he is a amoral libertarian period always has been look at his record along with a insane foreign policy and no economic policy except to say what he would not do.

  • Guest

Even the the ACLU's highest rated liberal candidate deserves to be heard. Ask him wjhy he blames the U.S. for the 9-11 attack, wants legalized drugs, abortion on demand, a gutted military, a gold standard, open borders, and why Iran should have nuclear weapons.

  • Dom

You’re so right Paul. So right. Only the dumb and sheeplike would vote for anyone but Paul. We will win 2012!
