Conservative Base is Growing Tired of GOP Establishment

According to NBC’s Andrea Mitchell, a “top Romney adviser” says that if Mitt loses Florida on Tuesday, “we’re going to have to try to reinvent the smoke-filled room which has been democratized by all these primaries and come up with someone as an alternative to Newt Gingrich.”

Finally — a Republican campaigning against the scourge of democracy! First we’ll go back to the good old days of the “smoke-filled room,” then we’ll bring back Prohibition and get rid of women’s suffrage, too!

Personally I can’t think of a better way to be perceived as an entitled elitist than to have your supporters announce that, unless you win, the voting shouldn’t count. And it’s not just Romney’s team.

Establishment Republicans are in “full panic mode,” as Newt called it yesterday, filling the press with hopeful speculation about a “brokered convention.” That’s when no candidate has won a majority of delegates at the ballot box and the GOP insiders get to pick who they want.

It’s the perfect outcome for folks who prefer a Politburo over a polling place.

But that’s how desperate the establishment is to nuke Newt. The terrified look on the face of GOP pundits as they talk about a possible Newt victory reminds me of the babysitters in the “Friday the 13th” movies waiting for the guy in the hockey mask to kick in the door.

The conservative columnist John Ransom is from Chicago. Awhile back, he wrote about a group called The Combine who control Chicago. It is a group of Republicans and Democrats who are best friends and work together behind the scenes, but publicly when they campaign they give the impression that they are against each other. The end result is that no matter who gets in office, the policies never change. No doubt that this mentality has hijacked the Republican Party and they are furious about anyone who usurps their plans. Mitt Romney tries to act like he is tough against the Democrats, but he says things that let me know he won't change Obama's failed policies. For some reason Newt is not on the anointed list, so it will be interesting to see how far The Combine will go to keep him from winning the nomination.

Karen; I think you are one of the very few on this or anyother site, who actually gets it right. The National republican party and the Democrat communist national committee (note they do not refer to themselves as a party, but committee) are almost identical wings of the same bird," the bird of peril." They have joined together in an alliance with the MSM, big business, big pharma, big agriculture, and big banks, to gain absolute control of the entire election process at all levels of government, local, state and federal. It is very true that neither party has any interest in representing the best interst of America. The elctions are rigged long before anyone goes to the ballot box, because it makes little or no difference as to who gets elected, the end result is, America loses.

Romney has the GOP establishment behind him tells me that I should vote for Newt !!! We want Tea Party like canidates that want to get back to the Judeo Christian values that made America "GREAT'!!! If we ignore what made us a great country then we are just fooling ourselves. Go back in our history and take our Christian vallues out of the picture and you tell me what made us great and you will find yourself in a puzzled state of confusion. Without our values we are just like any other western society, a boat without a sail. The liberal agenda is trying to rewrite our history and deceive us about where and what has made America the light of the world. Don't be fooled by their deception, God blessed our nation when most Americans could say and mean it from their "HEARTS" GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! WHERE DO YOU THINK THIS WONDERFUL SAYING CAME FROM? It has been imbedded into the fabric of our society for two hundred years and now all of a sudden, it isn't important anymore? ASK YOURSELF WHY ???

Why can the two of them stand on their own platform, without the hateful, lying, mischievous TV adds. This goes back to Obama scolding the SCOTUS about the law they upheld. PAC adds need to be reined in. Personally, the more the two compete with attack adds, the less desirable I find them both to be. Are they both incapable of standing at a podium and presenting their view, opinions and plans? Seems to me they are dividing republicans to defeat each other and right now, I'm not impressed. A non-vote is a vote for Obama.

If you would take the time to read the history of political campaigns in America since our founding, you would see that todays campaigns ae not much if any more negative that those of any other era. You are believing the media's hyperbole and propaganda spinning to confuse the issues and gather the herd using the Judas goat theory. Sadly it seems it always works.

So after 31 years Conservatives are finally realizing they've been nothing more than useful idiots and reliable votes for Reagan, the Republicans and their handlers. Now if we could just get the rest of the Kool-Aid flushed out of their veins!

In 1985 I left the Democrat Party when they made it clear they no longer represented my values. If Mitt Romney wins the GOP nomination I'll leave the Republicans for the same reason. Hopefully someday soon conservatives will wise up and organize a third party and tell both the Democrate and Republicans to take hike as their leadership has done to us.

So, if Mitt wins; your vote goes to Obama.? Sad.
ANY ONE BUT OBAMA!!!! to start with. Next time round let's push a bit further back home. And then further.

All anyone has to do to actually determine just how bad the republican party has beocme and how far it has moved away from it's platform embracing conservative thought and ideology is check out both houses of congress. Both are dominated by socialist/Marxist/communist, with a sprinkling of a few conservatives or constitutional libertarians and they are under constant attack as being extremisst and obstructionists by the MSm, the white house and their own republican party leadership. They also receive no campaign support from the GOP, the NRC and survive only because their voting districts are still mostly conservative. But, the democrat communist and republican Marxist parties collude to defeat the conservatives by way of redistricting and making them less conservative.

The republican party is certain to implode, and very soon. I would not be surprised to see them loose the house and suffer big losses in the senate, and there is no way Obama will be defeated by Gingrich or Romney. Santorum would be better than either of them, but Ron Paul is the only candidate who can beat Obama. I think the republican party will have the lowest voter turnout since the early 90's.
