Obama: ‘Nobody Envies Rich People’

President Barack Obama hit back Friday at a charge lobbed at him from Republican presidential candidates, saying the suggestion he’s inciting class warfare was flat wrong.

Speaking to Democratic lawmakers at a retreat on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Obama said he would actively rebut that charge in the coming election year.

“This is one of the biggest things I’m going to be pushing back on this year, this notion that this is somehow class warfare, that we’re trying to stir up envy,” Obama said. “Nobody envies rich people, everybody wants to be rich. Everybody aspires to be rich, and everybody understands you’ve got work hard to be successful. That’s the American way.”

Candidates seeking the 2012 GOP presidential nomination have accused Obama of pitting ‘haves’ against ‘have nots,’ saying his rhetoric and policies amount to redistribution of wealth.

    BO talks a good game, but we all seen his actions, pure socialism and class warfare. BO thinks we are so easily swayed by cheap talk. BO, you're for income distribution for all the losers and we all frickin' know it! Give it up already and actually try to fix the economy by real American methods, not Big Government Socialism! ! !

    All he ever does is push greed and envy of the “rich”. He never misses a chance to push “their fair share” of paying taxes to his minions who don’t even PAY federal taxes.

LoL, ROFLMAO … Obama's Momma, Stanley Ann Dunham Obama(sic) Soetoro HATED AMERICANS who had more money than an Indonesian pauper … in other words … everyone in the USofA. She taught him "they're not my people." What "not my people" don't quite understand is that it's NOT just "rich" Americans Obama hates, it's ALL Americans. Those Black Pampers who carry billy-clubs are 'hated' just as much as those 'rich kids playing marxists' who March On (pick your city). He HATES everyone … it's NOT "Class Warfare" it's "US Citizen Warfare." And there are ignoramuses who think Obama is a "man of the people." Yeah, INDONESIAN moslem people … is the people he's a man of. If moslem men are really men; I think of them as pedophiles.

    Obama is trying to back track because the RICH people in Hollywood and the West Coast and the Socialists on the East Coast are getting TIRED of being the boogie man for Obama's politics.

    I conjecture that a LOT of Obama's 'people' will sit out the election in November. They can't allow themselves to vote Republican, so they just won't vote.

I do not envy the wealthy. I will not have my tax dollars going for the party in chief when all he does is run his mouth, spend,spend,spend, and think AMERICANS are stupid enough to buy into it. obama is DONE!

    Nobody envies the rich? Seems like obama forgot about all of his divisive speech and the occupy movement spearheaded by his handler soros. Class warfare is all obama is about, but hey, it’s campaign time. That means back to empty promises and lies. It might be better for him if he just shut up; everyday we hear a new deception.

    What exactly is wrong with Obama? When you tax the wealthy and turn around and give the money to someone less fortunate (for free), what exactly do you call it? The less fortunate didn't work for the handout. Sounds like wealth distribution to me!

    What a joke! Even if you don't envy them you sure wish you had their lifestyle and all their material things, big house, big cars, big vacation, etc. He lies to deny how he's trying to divide this country with class warfare, social justice, redistribute the wealth, whatever you want to call it, anything for his relection..
