This is just one more facet of the federal government's agenda to socialize its subjects-to-be.  Through the use of limiting food supplies, and then sabotaging the food production one way after another, mass starvation will make the populace completely dependent upon Big Brother...It's a good thing we have Someone that knows our every need and will one day show them Who He is, amen?

(Unconstitutional, this is another form of taxation without representation.  When are they going to start checking our passports at the borders, I see that coming too.  They will continue to pursue us but not all the illegals crossing our borders in the millions. They are trying to get all the lakes, streams and oceans under their care. All the government money is spent and its yours they are after now. There is no where to hide. It is up to us either by Tea Party or throwing everyone of them out of  the government. We need term limits to keep them under control. We need the FBI as a separate entity to watch dog them as well as protect us. All people running for public office should be checked out and a public report made on them by the FBI or and independent group chosen by the people. In the case where there are requirements such as age and citizen ship, it should all be reviewed and placed where every American can see it. Also people running for office should only be able to use government funds of equal amounts so the richest cant have an advantage. School business should be kicked back to the states and taken from the Federal Government. Czars should be limited to 2 and only with the approval of the people.}

May the Great Spirit within us all, HELP U.S.!!  This is but a small, to say the least sneaky underhanded crap that continues to seemingly be gaining supportive strength; since "our" dillusionary Commander In Chief has assumed office!  It leaves me for the moment, for whom these words resounded from, however, in those words  "DIVIDE, AND CONQUER!" comes to mind!

Damn, above all else, I come from a generation that hated the doomsayer world of my parents!  However, unfortunately, if Americans do not pull their heads out of the sand, they won't need to bother!  The Amish, with all their cultural eccentricities, still remain true to the most basic creeds.  Within their "simplistic" culture, stands a strength, that most Americans have forgotten...Priorities!  Belief in a Life Giving Creator, Family, Community, and the self-reliant responsibility to those very things!  Continue to hand over Control of every possible essential aspect of America's way of life...You no longer have America!  For, eventually, that entity (Washington & agencies) believes itself to have been given an inherent right to control ALL aspects of its citizenry lives!

Hearkens back to the 1930's when the government hauled a farmer into court for growing his own wheat for his own use.  The government said because he was using the wheat himself it affected interstate commerce because he wasn't buying from someone else. 

This is why the Founders wrote in the Declaration of Independence "he has... sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance" as a grievance against King George. This is why they wrote a Constitution which designed a government of strictly limited and diffuse powers. This is why we have a 2nd Amendment to that Constitution. Pity the Amish don't actually fight for their rights. A few of these little tin-plated Hitlers get shot for their trouble and they'll stop driving past 'No Tresspassing" signs.

 I read the bill back when it passed. Says I can nolonger raise my own food, unless my home is inspected and aproved by the county department of health......I got news for them..tHE CONSTITUTION GIVES ME THAT RIGHT. And it also gives me the right to tell them To get off my private property or I have no alturnative but to use the second amendment to inforce my rights.

Fellas, Me thinks that you are being a little shallow in your thugs.  Remember Obama wants to take the farmlands out.  This woman is wondering if the ones pulling his strings aren't the world's wealthiest, well educated, inhumane beings planning on enslaving the rest of us in something called the New World Order!  If so, this raid on the Amish is aimed at putting the Amish out of farming even to feed themselves.  Boy, with good old Codex Alimentarius (for those of you who aren't familiar with this one go to You Tube, type Codex Alimentarius into their search window) and watch videos.  Guaranteed you'll learn more than you want to know very quickly.  You will also look at a bunch of people who consider themselves "elite" and this is worse than thugs - this is a bunch of immoral psychopaths who want to play God and reduce the population.  If we don't get Obama out before his first term is up, our country is gone, and so is everyone elses.  We need some lawyers to look into how "we the people" can impeach this sucker - even if we don't succeed, it might flush out his string pullers, so we can know the enemies!

The plain people stick strickly to the religion; the Memonites; more modern Amish use vehicles and farm machines, are usually referred to as "Black-bumper Amish" tend to paint all chrome black so as not to offend God by doing things "Chust for fancy". The thought of any government officials invading their peace makes me sick to my stomach. I have met a number of Amish families, all of whom were very hospitible and kind. They stay to themselves in an attempt to keep their framilies together in today's world where the young people are tempted by our fast changing world. Those who leave, later regret it, because we as a whole don't find ourselves as comfortable with God as most Amish do. Let's stand fast and protect their right to their own lifestyle.

The most feared words an American can hear, "We are from the Government and we are here to help you"

After reading this article, my thoughts are that possibly the FDA suspects this Amish farmer is supplying the Amish community with milk from his cows. If the Amish community becomes sickened by tainted milk, they can sue the government for not doing its job (through the FDA) in regulating the quality of milk distributed to the public (whether sold, bartered, or given away).

The vicious circle of increasing government control, in part, stems from abuse by taxpayers who routinely sue the government for not properly inspecting the food supply, when outbreaks of disease or contamination occur. These lawsuits increase taxes down the road because awards are paid from tax revenue.

I applaud your efforts to publicize the working of government "investigations" like this FDA investigation of the farmer in this article. The irony about government is that it is funded from tax revenue. Many citizens want it both ways, expecting their food supply to be regulated for their safety, but resenting the kind of control exerted in this instance. Is there a middle ground? Can we expect government to protect citizens without the vulgar display of "muscle flexing" we see today? It seems that with government you can't live with it but you can't live without it.
